How to Make the Best Iced Honey Collagen Latte to Boost Your Morning

There’s just something truly magical about waking up to a nice iced latte on a warm day. For many of us, a latte is more than just a drink – it’s a comforting ritual, a way to pause and savor the moment. I personally ALWAYS have some type of caffeinated beverage as part of my morning ritual.

But you know what’s even better? Adding a little boost in that coffee, that doesn’t change the taste, but helps strengthen your hair and nails, and makes your skin glow! It’s so simple and can be a great supplement to your skincare routine.

Yes, I’m talking about a collagen latte.

What is Collagen?

Collagen is a protein that acts as the “primary building block of your body’s skin, muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments, and other connective tissues” (Cleveland Clinic). Now I’m not a scientist or a doctor so I can only summarize what the research has shown and how I’ve felt from implementing it into my routine.

But according to the Cleveland Clinic, here’s how collagen supports your body:

  1. Helps new skin cells grow by forming more fibroblasts, which contribute to the formation of connective tissue
  2. Replaces dead skin cells
  3. Acts as a protective covering for your organs
  4. Provides structure, strength and elasticity to your skin
  5. Aides in blood clotting

Again, I don’t know exactly if it’s helping my body on the inside, but I have noticed a few things from having collagen consistently.

My skin has basically stopped breaking out, it looks a lot clearer and bouncier. I also have experienced fewer illnesses (don’t know if this is the main reason, because my body changes constantly and it may have just aligned with something else).

Either way, it just takes a few extra seconds to implement this into your morning coffee, so I highly suggest you try it before making up your mind.

What You’ll Need

Here are the very few simple ingredients you need for this:

  • Collagen powder
  • Espresso (double shot)
  • Honey
  • Milk
  • Ice

How To Make It

  1. The Espresso

Grab a tall glass and pour in your espresso. I use my Nespresso machine for this and my favorite blend is this red one. I press the double shot button so there’s enough for me to mix the collagen powder.

  1. The Collagen

Scoop 1-2 tablespoons of collagen powder. I’ve been using the Vital Proteins collagen powder with no flavor, so it doesn’t change the taste of the drink. Stir with a spoon until it dissolves completely.

  1. The Honey

Pour in however much honey you’d like. For me, it depends on my mood and what I’m having for breakfast, but you do you, girl. Again, stir until it’s mostly dissolved, because once you add the milk and ice, it won’t melt as easily.

  1. The Milk

I usually go for whole, 2% or oat milk, but grab the milk of your choice and fill it up to about ⅔ of your cup.

  1. The Ice

Add in your ice cubes, stir and enjoy!
